As the year wraps up, the iFTI is pleased to share some of the highlights of 2025. 

  • iFTI Classes:
    • Conducted a total of 70 iFTI instructor classes, 11 of which were delivered through the help of COE-approved Instructional Service Centers (ISCs) at DCs 16, 21, and 82 and 2 off-campus classes at DCs 3 and 50. We have 820 completions from 373 class participants.

  • COR and Trade Curriculum Development Updates:
    • The Curriculum team created 146 new courses (DC-specific, trade-related, FTI, and third party) and updated 113 courses with the help of subject matter experts. These courses are available in the iFTI Learning Management System (LMS). Follow the monthly LMS alerts to stay updated. 

Curriculum Committees are actively contributing to the development of trade curriculum: 

  • HydroBlast/Vacuum Tech – complete.
  • Drywall Finisher – 3 of 15 courses are 85% complete
  • Tradeshow Worker  – in progress with 3 of 32 courses 85% complete
  • Commercial Paint – 15 out of 30 courses are 85% complete
  • Glazier – in progress; reviewing approximately 44 courses; 5 are 85% complete
  • iFTI LMS Highlights:
    • Conducted in-person @ DC 3 for new LMS admins. 
    • Extended the assistance to our affiliates by covering the costs of Third Party Distance Learning courses in the LMS until June 30, 2026. The Third Party online library expanded to 11 single paid courses including OSHA 10 and OSHA 30, 187 open enrollment courses, 45 French courses, and 31 Spanish courses
    • District Councils continue to align their courses in the LMS. The Canadian courses provide examples of recently added or updated content.

  • Council on Occupational Education (COE) Highlights:
  • New and Continued Educational Partnerships:
    • The iFTI has extended our partnership with Rosetta Stone through December 2026 to build our members’ fluency and confidence to speak new languages. In 2025, 33 members spent 258 hours in the program learning a new language.
    • We renewed our partnership with the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) in July 2025 and have updated online offerings this year.
