Drywall Finisher Curriculum Committee At BUILD ‘25

IThe iFTI Drywall Finishing Curriculum Committee recently gathered in Charlotte, NC, for the BUILD 25 Convention + Expo, hosted by the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI).
Kicking off their week, the committee met the day before the conference to focus on curriculum revisions, ensuring that every course delivers the most current and comprehensive training for drywall finishers. Their goal is to keep the curriculum aligned with industry standards and emerging best practices—preparing finishers with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their trade.

Committee members had the opportunity to attend educational sessions to gain insights from industry leaders on cutting-edge techniques, safety advancements, and evolving workforce demands. They also engaged with exhibitors at the Expo to learn about innovative tools, materials, and technologies that could improve both classroom and hands-on training methods, as well as the daily work of drywall finishers.

BUILD 25 is the largest trade show for the wall and ceiling industry. Participation at this event provides our Drywall committee members with the opportunity to learn new ideas, make industry connections, and advance the training and education of the iFTI Drywall Finisher to ensure we remain highly skilled and competitive in an evolving industry.
