The International Finishing Trades Institute (iFTI) had the opportunity to provide a full day of Learning Management System (LMS) training to the staff of District Council 17 in Edmonton, Alberta. The six-hour, hands-on training was designed to help staff strengthen their knowledge of the iFTI LMS and take advantage of the tools available to manage and support training for their members.
Throughout the day, participants worked directly within the LMS as they learned how to navigate the system and complete many of the administrative tasks they use to support their training programs. Topics included searching for available courses, creating customized Learning Paths, assigning Learning Paths to participants, enrolling non-members in training, and running reports to track participation and course completion.
The iFTI LMS provides District Councils and training centers with access to a growing collection of educational resources while also offering tools to organize, assign, manage, and track training. Ensuring that staff know how to effectively use these features helps training centers get the greatest value from the system and makes it easier to connect members with the training they need.
The iFTI will continue to offer LMS training and support throughout the organization. We look forward to working with additional District Councils and their staffs during the remaining months of 2026 and throughout the next year.
