Glazing Curriculum Review Kicks Off in Hanover

In early June, a dedicated and ambitious group of Glazier Trade experts gathered in Hanover MD to kickoff a comprehensive review of the iFTI GLZ trade curriculum. This important initiative marks the first full-scale review of the GLZ course content since 2018.

Led by iFTI Glazier Training Specialist, Matt Fox and iFTI Project Lead Alice Gwinn, the two and a half day session included collaboration with Jeff Fejfar and Ken Rogers from K-Learning/Kelly Press and ten experienced Glazier subject matter experts (SMEs) from across North America. This gathering of experts led to many engaging discussions about industry needs and evolving skill demands.

The meeting began with an orientation to the curriculum review process and evolved into a productive working session where the SMEs focused on identifying gaps and outdated content in the current curriculum and formed a list of new and expanded course content for development. This collaborative effort ensures the Glazier curriculum will remain relevant, accurate and aligned with industry standards.
