FTI 166 Protecting Workers from Mold 12152020

December 15, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST

This an introductory to mid-level mold course. It will take an in-depth look at what molds are (including species and species characteristics), where you are likely to find them in occupational and public health settings, what their health effects are, how to protect workers and the public from them, how to reduce worker health risk when encountering them on the job, review regulations and guidance and finally, present basics of sound mold abatement strategies. This course will benefit any trainer wishing to understand more about mold at a greater depth, as well as those responsible for work development where mold may be an issue. Lastly, this is a great presentation on mold work-related issues that would benefit any IUPAT member, as mold can become an occupational issue in any field, if the conditions are right. A small group activity is included concerning mold remediation strategies. A certificate of course completion will be given for those who complete the class.
