During one of the sessions, the iFTI staff led a panel discussion entitled, Leveraging Apprenticeships for Workforce Development with members from the Finishing Trades Institute Upper Midwest, the Finishing Trades Institute of Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Vicinities, and the Finishing Trades Institute of DC14 Chicago. The well-attended session included discussion between the panel and audience members on topics such as how accreditation enhances the legitimacy and quality of apprenticeship programs and ideas for building or strengthening partnerships between CTE institutions and apprenticeship providers.
