The Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC) oversees two key certification programs for the glazing industry: the North American Contractor Certification (NACC) for contractors and the Architectural Glass and Metal Technician (AGMT) certification for individual technicians.
Both programs are governed by the Board and Counsel with 18 members (9 Industry, 9 General Interest) and administered by a third-party (AMS) to manage testing, accreditation, certification logistics, and more.

The NACC committee meets quarterly and acts as a Board advisory committee for the Contractor Certification, while the AGMT Committee provides guidance on worker certification. Our very own Matt Fox has been serving the AGMT committee for the last five years. He has contributed to the development of the AGMT training plan for the iFTI and delivered the Train-the-Trainer course for our Directors, coordinators and instructors.
To date, the IUPAT has certified over 2,200 glaziers through the AGMT program, making it the largest certified installers in the industry. because the industry is demanding it. Certification is increasingly in demand, and several states and counties now require AGMT-certified workers for public glazing projects.
