DESCRIPTION:20 Hours \nThe IUPAT’s Peer Support program is a 2-1/2-day education and training workshop that will include information\, discussions and activities pertaining to the impact of substance use and mental illness on the brain\, suicide prevention\, your role as a peer supporter\, ethics and confidentiality\, employee assistance programs (EAP’s) and more. The Peer Supporter is committed to learning about mental health and substance use disorders to help their peers and will be part of a network of Peer Supporters within the IUPAT Helping Hand. \nPrerequisite: None \nENROLL NOW: Ask your DOT to complete the DOT Request – Training Registration Form. You can fill out the Instructor/Coordinator Training Registration Form but the request will be forwarded to your DOT for approval.
